SML Meditree (CEO Dong-soo Lee) announced on the 25th that it has signed a strategic business agreement with JS Link (CEOs Cheol-gu Shim and Jun-young Lee), a biotechnology company specializing in genomics-based technologies.

The agreement represents a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening the analytical foundation across the entire drug development process, from basic research to new drug development, by combining the unique technological capabilities and analytical infrastructure of both companies. In particular, the collaboration will begin with the establishment of a joint analytical platform linking Alzheimer’s disease-specific biomarker analysis using the SIMOA platform with LC-MS/MS-based mass spectrometry technologies.

SML Meditree provides comprehensive clinical trial sample analysis services throughout the entire clinical development cycle, supported by a systematic analytical service infrastructure based on GCLP standards. The company has built a strong reputation as a trusted R&D partner for numerous pharmaceutical companies and research institutions in Korea and overseas.

JS Link is a multi-omics analysis company that possesses a full range of platforms for generating and analyzing data across genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and other omics fields. The company is also currently carrying out multiple government-funded projects. Meanwhile, supported by the stabilization of its genomics analysis business, JS Link is expected to accelerate its new rare-earth permanent magnet business currently under development.

The agreement was established based on the two companies’ shared goal of strengthening analytical competitiveness and data-driven clinical support capabilities in the rapidly changing new drug development market. The partnership is expected to expand into joint collaboration projects in various disease areas, including biomarker analysis, as well as projects aimed at entering global markets.
